Smart Materials Laboratory 1

Smart Materials Laboratory

Smart Materials Laboratory is under the direction of Asst. Assoc.Dr. Seval Genç. Undergraduate and graduate studies are carried out on the synthesis of magnetological fluids, ferrofluids, ferrogels and magnetic nanoparticles sensitive to magnetic field. The heat conduction of these materials, the properties of damping earthquake vibrations, their usage in wastewater treatment and cancer treatment are examined with various projects. Rheological characterization of these materials is done with BOHLIN Gemini II Rheometer.
