Graduation Procedures

Procedures to Follow for Graduation Requests and Deregistration

  1. To graduate from the department, students must have completed all three of the following trainings and successfully passed the exams held on the dates announced by the department chair.
  2. After printing and hardcover binding the graduation thesis, the thesis must be signed by the thesis group students, advisors, and the department chair, and then delivered in person to the graduation commission chair. Additionally, the thesis must be sent in PDF format via email to mezuniyet.mse.eng.marmara@gmail.com
  3. The Graduation Request Form available on the Faculty of Engineering website (https://eng.marmara.edu.tr/ogrenci/mezuniyet-talep-formu) must be filled out and submitted along with two types of transcripts — the graduation transcript and the detailed transcript — to the graduation commission chair for approval.
  4. After approval, all documents must be submitted to the department secretary to be forwarded to the student affairs office. Following this, a temporary graduation certificate can be obtained via the e-Government (e-Devlet) system within a short time.
  5. To receive the original diploma, the Deregistration Form (https://eng.marmara.edu.tr/ogrenci/kayit-silme-formu) must be prepared and approved by the graduation commission chair. The approved form should then be submitted to the faculty student affairs office.
